Our approach is comprehensive and we typically begin working with clients and architects from the very beginning during the design phase. We strive to understand clients’ financial expectations, and develop a detailed project budget that incorporates all significant features and finish choices with input from designers and subcontractors. After the design is complete, a budget is established, required permits and contracts are in place, and a schedule is set, we break ground and begin the exciting phase of construction.
Project management and communication are two of our greatest strengths and, we believe, keys to our success. Ongoing communication between the field, office, subcontractors, designers and clients is paramount to keeping the project flowing on time and on budget. A seasoned, full-time superintendent will oversee the onsite team dedicated to the project, with our own skilled team of employees doing the foundation, framing and finish work. These craftsmen are the heart and soul of the homes we build and we employ who we believe to be Maui’s very best in their trade. To complement our crew, we have longstanding relationships with a dedicated team of subcontractors to provide the level of attention to detail that we expect and is well above industry standards.

Bill Darrah Builders has experience at every level of condominium remodeling from cosmetic updates to complete renovations. Condo remodeling requires a unique approach because of the interface with neighboring owners and the associations in each location.
We take pride in managing our projects and making this work as comfortable as possible for all parties. We have worked with many of the condominium complexes and associations on Maui for many years, from Kihei and Wailea to Ka’anapali and Kapalua, and are effective at addressing any unique regulations and requirements.
